Lisney were appointed as joint sales agents on Mill Road/Inver Road, Larne in January 2017.
The site of the former Inver Bleach & Dye Works, the land was well known and occupied a prominent position, providing a roadside frontage of 700 metres on the main A8 into Larne town centre. The land abutted Larne Football Club and several residential developments.
Being a large site, with no planning and substantial remaining derelict properties, we were aware from day one that this was an instruction that would be too complex for common or garden developers.
Despite the dereliction of the site, we received a reasonable level of interest and obtained a number of offers through substantial marketing campaign.
After a thorough and lengthy legal process the sale completed in May 2017.
