Lisney is one of Ireland’s largest independent real estate agencies with a reputation for providing researched based professional advice across an array of services. 

We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join our existing accounts team in Dublin 2.

Responsibilities 

Accounts Payable duties 

  • Dealing with a high volume of supplier invoices
  • Coding of invoices to ensure costs are recorded against the correct property code/chart of account code and profit centre
  • Processing purchase invoices and credit notes onto SUN Accounts Package via Adest AP Manager
  • Following up on unapproved invoices with internal staff/directors
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements to SUN ledger, requesting copy invoices (where appropriate) and dealing with any disputed items
  • Ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner by EFT/cheque
  • Preparation of weekly sundry cheque/SEPA payment run
  • Maintaining supplier files

Other duties 

  • Verification and processing of expenses for staff /directors monthly
  • Assisting the accounts team with daily banking to the current and client accounts and bank reconciliations
  • Assisting the accounts team with accounts receivable queries
  • Assisting with external auditor queries
  • Providing cover for colleagues during holiday periods
This is not an exhaustive list. Ad hoc duties as and when necessary including general administration and liaising with various departments throughout the company

 

Requirements 

  • Proven accounts payable experience dealing with a high volume of invoices is essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and a self-starter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particularly strong expertise in Excel
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven history working as part of a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to use their own initiative
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Can work on your own initiative or with limited supervision
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to demonstrate these daily
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and professional in your approach to work
