Due to an expanding remit we are seeking an experienced Chartered Valuation Surveyor to add to our existing Valuations team. Lisney is the largest provider of CPO services in the country with existing commissions encompassing the most significant schemes across road and rail infrastructure. Job Specification:

  • Negotiating on behalf of parties affected by a Compulsory Purchase Order
  • Responsible for inspection, valuation and negotiation
  • Guiding clients through all stages of the compulsory purchase process from start to finish
  • Negotiating regeneration schemes and solutions
  • Regular interaction with councils, surveyors, developers and a range of other property professionals
  • Undertake Red Book valuations and portfolio valuations for secured lending / financial reporting purposes
  • Prepare valuation reports within a wide geographic range
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest professional standard in the context of the applicable external and internal requirements
  • Maintain and build client relations to expand on existing and new business and relationships
  • Liaise with Directors and members of your team to reach assigned targets
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • Hold 3-5 years’ experience in a professional services/valuations role
  • Qualified chartered surveyor with membership to SCSI and/or RICS

Skills/Requirements:

  • Knowledge of legislation governing CPO and case law
  • Experience in submitting CPO claims and acquiring land for CPO schemes
  • Excellent report writing skills, proven history of report writing  
  • Currently hold a PSRA licence or eligible to obtain a PSRA licence
  • Possess the ability to build relationships and develop new business
  • Strong numerical reasoning and a strong knowledge of the property market
  • Be capable of working on your own initiative and be motivated to progress your career
  • Have excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Must have a full clean drivers licence and vehicle
