Lisney History
Lisney was founded in 1922 as Franks & Franks and specialised in estate management from offices in number 23 St Stephen's Green. In 1934, Mr. Harry Lisney took over the firm and subsequently changed the name to Harry Lisney & Company. At that time the business was a small valuation practice.
The firm grew over the years and by 1958 twelve people were employed. By 1964, with thirty employees, the company outgrew temporary premises in both number 18 and 20 St. Stephen's Green and took over number 15 Kildare Street to house the administration departments.
By 1969, the staff had almost doubled again and plans were made to redevelop number 24 St. Stephen's Green into a modern office block. 24 St. Stephen's Green remains the company's head office to this day.
Also in 1969, we opened an office in Cork. In 1976, we opened our office in Belfast and in the Dublin suburb of Dun Laoghaire. A second suburban office was opened in Terenure in 1994, followed by Drumcondra in September 2000. In 2005, we set up Lisney New Homes, followed in 2006 by Lisney Capital and Lisney Overseas Residential. All are located at 24 St. Stephen's Green.
